Approval of posts and programmes
PMETB is legally responsible for approving all postgraduate training posts and programmes in the UK. If you would like any training to count towards the award of a CCT or GPCCT, your training must be part of an approved specialty training programme, be supervised, and have prospective PMETB approval.
If you have undertaken any posts which haven’t had prior educational approval from PMETB, unfortunately, they will not be able to be counted towards a CCT, but they may count towards a CESR.
