Certification
A major facet of PMETB’s work is to ensure that doctors are appropriately qualified and certified for application to the Specialist and General Practice (GP) Registers. Doctors are legally required to be on the Specialist or GP Registers if they wish to practice as a substantive consultant or GP in the NHS.
There are various routes to the Specialist and GP Registers, all of which are summarised here with links to more detailed advice, guidance and resources.
To assist you in determining which route you are eligible to apply through, please follow our wizard.
